We're looking for an SME Market Facing Underwriter to join our General Insurance team. In this role, you'll combine your commercial mindset, relationship-building skills and market presence to drive growth across our SME portfolio, helping brokers and customers access solutions that support their businesses with confidence. Based at the intersection of underwriting and business development, you'll play a key role in strengthening Zurich's position in the market while contributing to our continued digital transformation journey.

You'll work closely with brokers, customers and internal stakeholders to create new opportunities, retain and grow existing business, and deliver exceptional service outcomes. This is an opportunity to make a visible impact, build meaningful relationships and shape the future growth of a market-leading portfolio.

You will also be responsible for the following:

• Develop and execute portfolio growth strategies to achieve financial and operational targets


• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, customers and key stakeholders


• Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities across target markets


• Provide market insights and competitor intelligence to support business performance


• Support broker engagement initiatives including presentations, webinars and communications


• Assess and underwrite risks within delegated authority and appetite guidelines

You're a proactive and commercially minded professional who enjoys building trusted relationships and finding solutions that create value for customers and partners. You thrive in a collaborative environment, embrace change with confidence and are motivated by achieving strong business outcomes while delivering excellent service.

In order to be successful, you will have the following:

• Experience in underwriting, insurance broking, claims or business development


• Proven ability to develop relationships and influence brokers, customers and stakeholders


• Demonstrated success achieving business goals, growth targets or performance outcomes


• Strong commercial acumen and confidence identifying and converting new opportunities


• Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills


• Knowledge of SME, Commercial Motor, Marine or Business Packages insurance products is highly regarded
