Through our unique model, we provide training and employment opportunities to young people disengaged from school and individuals with disabilities, helping them gain valuable skills and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement training programs for barista skills, including coffee preparation techniques, customer service, and workplace safety.
• Provide hands-on training and guidance to trainees, ensuring they develop proficiency and confidence in their skills.
• Adapt training methods to meet the diverse needs of our trainees, including young people disengaged from school and individuals with disabilities.
• Serve as a mentor and positive role model, offering encouragement, feedback, and support to help trainees overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
• Collaborate with other team members to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere within the training environment and the cafe.
• Monitor trainee progress and adjust training methods as needed to ensure success.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to training programs, such as record-keeping and reporting.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a barista, with a strong understanding of coffee preparation techniques and equipment.
• Passion for working with young people and individuals with disabilities, with a commitment to promoting inclusivity and empowerment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and motivate others.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude, with the ability to support trainees through challenges and setbacks.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to adjust teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each trainee.
