About the Role

The Social Media & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and coordinating delivery of all social media activities to support both online and offline business initiatives across all social media platforms for our highly successful Portmans brand. Reporting into the Marketing Manager – Portmans, you will play an integral role in the development of communications for the brand’s extensive email program.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Develop engaging and innovative social media specific content to drive customer engagement and interaction
• Moderate the Portmans social communities, communicating in a professional and unique social media “voice” suited to the target market; directly aligned with the brand DNA
• Provide weekly and monthly summary report on the brand’s social media activity performance
• Assist in the development plan for brand emails in-line with marketing calendar
• Execution of all social media activities (i.e. posting, tweeting, sharing, engaging, liking, increasing social reach)

Skills & Experience

• 1-2 years experience working in digital marketing and social media, retail industry experience ideal but not essential
• Tertiary education in a marketing-related field 
• Experience in the development, implementation and management of all day-to-day social media activity and community management
• Demonstrated experience in image and video editing software (e.g. Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign/PremierPro) and social media advertising platforms
• Experience in the development of engaging content to contribute to the brand’s email program
