About the opportunity

An exciting, newly created role exists for a highly motivated Social Worker to join our team. This is a chance to be part of something exciting, to grow with our organisation, and to be a part of a collaborative, energetic, multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of clinical and non-clinical psychosocial supports to assist individuals to support their mental health and achieve their recovery goals.


• Provide outreach support services which requires a willingness to work with participants in their homes and the community.


• Complete intake and assessment duties to ensure that the support response focuses on participant's strengths, goals and objectives.


• Assist with the development and implementation of shared support plans across the multi-disciplinary team.


• Regularly monitor that the delivery of services and support are within the highest level of customer service using a trauma-informed and recovery orientated approach.


• Demonstrated knowledge of legislation


• Ability to work to productivity targets.


• Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment as well as autonomously and take ownership of a caseload of participants.


• Hold a current WWCC (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid & CPR.


• Hold a valid Australian driver’s license.

Qualifications & Experience

• Hold a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Social Work.


• Previous experience in Social Work within the NDIS preferable but not essential.


• Eligibility for membership of the AASW


• Evidence of current CPE, as per AASW requirements


• Demonstrated ability to interact with participants, their families and service providers.


• Demonstrated knowledge of legislation.


• A high level of written and verbal communication skills, particularly in advocacy, mediation, negotiation and conflict resolution


• Ability to work to productivity targets.


• Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment as well as autonomously and take ownership of a caseload of participants.


• Hold a current WWCC (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid & CPR.


• Hold a valid Australian driver’s license.
