Software Developer - Programmer

  • Full-time (35hrs/week) 
  • Monday to Friday with an RDO available
  • Fixed Term- immediate start until 20 Dec 2024
  • $54/hr + super + EAP + free onsite gym + generous leave provisions

About the Opportunity

The QTU is seeking an experienced Software Developer - Programmer to temporarily join our ICT team. 

Your tasks will include:

  • Write clean and scalable code in using C#, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software applications. 
  • Administer, maintain and support the QTU’s databases and applications.
  • Collaborate with team members to design and develop innovative new ICT features that enhance the user experience.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for referencing and reporting.

About You

To be successful in this position you will have: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline. 
  • Experience in programming languages, database design and development using SQL databases, designing user-friendly webpages and APIs.
  • Experience in Microsoft .Net Technology including ASP.NET, Framework, .Net Core software development, Visual Studio, API integrations, HTML front-end design and development.
  • Experience in Windows Azure B2C integrations.

The Union is the professional and industrial voice of more than 48,000 members including teachers, principals and TAFE educators in Queensland state primary schools, secondary schools, special schools, TAFE institutes and other educational facilities.
