Job Description - Solicitor - Property

Join a collaborative firm managing ACT and NSW residential property transactions. Your new company
A long-standing and well-regarded legal practice is looking to expand its property team with a motivated legal professional. Known for its strong client relationships, supportive team culture and modern approach to service delivery, this firm provides a great environment for someone looking to grow their career in conveyancing and residential property law.

Your new role
You will manage a varied portfolio of residential property matters across ACT and NSW. This includes handling sales, purchases, off-the-plan transactions, building contracts and property transfers from initial instruction through to completion.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:• Reviewing and drafting documentation associated with property transactions.
• Identifying risks and advising clients clearly and confidently.
• Coordinating with agents, lenders and other external parties to progress matters smoothly.
• Staying up to date with changes in legislation and conveyancing processes.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all work meets compliance requirements.
• Contributing to a collaborative team environment and supporting junior staff where required.

What you'll need to succeed
You will bring:• A current practising certificate (or eligibility), or qualifications as a licensed conveyancer, or recent law graduate ready for admission.
• An understanding of residential conveyancing, ideally with some practical experience.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent client service.
• High attention to detail, good organisation and the ability to work well in a busy environment.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to continue developing your expertise.
• Familiarity with digital conveyancing tools, including PEXA and practice management systems (advantageous).
• A collaborative mindset and strong team values.

What you'll get in return
You'll join a supportive and cohesive team that prides itself on high-quality service and a modern approach to property law. You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills, work on a high-volume and varied caseload, and be part of a practice that invests in its people and embraces innovation.
