An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced IT Solution Architect to design and deliver high-quality, scalable technology solutions that align with business strategy and enterprise architecture principles. This role is ideal for a technically strong architect who enjoys translating business needs into robust, future-focused solutions while working closely with diverse stakeholders.

Your new role
The IT Solution Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing advanced technical solutions that support strategic objectives and operational performance. You will play a key role in shaping the technology landscape by ensuring solutions are secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-effective. Working closely with business leaders, technical teams, and external partners, you will balance the adoption of new technologies with the need to maintain stable, highly available systems.
Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end technical solutions that meet business requirements and align to IT strategy and enterprise architecture standards.
• Define system architectures, integration patterns, components, and technical specifications.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend platforms or tools that deliver business value.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and advise on technical feasibility.
• Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ensure solution designs are cost-effective and support demand management processes.
• Conduct architecture and design reviews to ensure solution quality and integrity.
• Identify and manage technical risks, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place.
• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and industry standards.
• Maintain high-quality architecture and design documentation to support delivery, operations, and audit requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement through post-implementation reviews and adoption of best practices.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar role in complex IT environments.
• Strong ability to design scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions across multiple platforms.
• Experience working with enterprise architecture principles and technology standards.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and advise at all levels.
• Demonstrated experience balancing innovation with system stability and operational needs.
• Strong documentation, analysis, and problem-solving capability.
• Experience contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and technology modernisation.
