Solution Architects

The Department primarily uses Microsoft Azure, M365, Dynamics365, and DevOps platforms.

Skills required:

• Solid expertise in developing high level and detailed design solutions migration of in-house systems to Azure cloud including Active Directory, SharePoint, Exchange, and establishing virtual desktop infrastructure.
• Experience in the development of Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Experience and/or familiarity with Azure Virtual network configuration including hybrid network architecture.
• Familiar with cyber security controls (ISM), OWASP and Essential 8 controls within federal government departments.
• Technical knowledge of the Azure cloud platform.
• Ability to work independently, build productive relationships and liaise with stakeholders (including business users, development team, Azure platform experts, cyber security experts and enterprise architects).
• Strong communications skills and ability to convert business requirement into detailed design solution using concise language, diagrams and accurate technical details.

Desirable skills:

• Cross domain security solution design for UNCLASSIFIED and PROTECTED environments.
• Track record of technical leadership across project and operational tasks.
• Experience in developing cost models and provision of advice on cost management.

Duration: 15/07/2024 - 14/07/2025

Extension/s: 2 x 12 month option to extend

Security clearance: Ability to obtain a Baseline clearance is essential

Location: Canberra, A.C.T

Working arrangements: This role can be completed remotely, within parameters that can be negotiated. Please note: Remote working arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis in consultation with the supervising manager, subject to business needs.
