As Senior Sourcing Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the strategic management plan for the Dry Goods & Grocery categories within Marley Spoon. Working closely with various stakeholders across the business, you will be leading sourcing initiatives from our Sydney office, located in Alexandria (NSW 2015).
Your role:
- Develop and execute category plans aligned with sourcing strategy.
- Analyse market trends and risks to drive category strategies.
- Scout, onboard, and manage suppliers to support growth objectives.
- Lead supplier negotiations and manage vendor performance.
- Manage competitive tendering process and commercial opportunities.
- Control expenditure portfolio and optimise procurement costs.
- Qualifications in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, and/or Business Administration
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Procurement Manager, Sourcing Specialist or Head of Procurement with dexterity in ‘reading’ the market
- Experience with procuring a range of food ingredients [Dry Goods, Grocery, Food Service] ideally within the Manufacturing, Retail or FMCG sector
- Sound understanding of Commercial and Contract Law
- Good knowledge of supplier management software (e.g. ERP, Foods Connected)
- Professional accreditation or certification (i.e. CIPS) preferred
