THE DOWNS HOTEL
We are a family owned Hotel with a high respect for staff and customers. We boast a classic pub menu prepared on site, with daily & weekly specials.
Operating 7 days a week for lunch & dinner, our team is searching for a strong leader to support our head Chef.
Key responsibilities & duties:
· Work in all areas of the kitchen
· Support the Head Chef and be able to run the kitchen in their absence.
· Ensure compliance with all aspects of the Food Licence and all laws, regulations and codes relating to food handling, storage, cooking and service
· Ensure our customer expectations are exceeded at every interaction.
The Person:
· Qualified Chef looking to take their next step. Must be willing to learn and work in a team environment.
· Experience in a high volume business.
· Ability to connect with suppliers, staff & management & customers
· A proactive professional, positive, supportive, and motivated with experience in recruiting, mentoring, training, and developing a team of hospitality professionals
