We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an Iconic establishment known for its exceptional service and culinary excellence. As a Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role that define our venue.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Overseeing kitchen operations
- Working closely with the executive chef to implement new ideas, menus, specials, latest food trends & systems
- Ensure quality and control in all Food preparation
- Supervise ordering, purchasing and receipt of scheduled supplies
- Maintain compliance with OHS guidelines
- Training, demonstrating and leading new kitchen recruits
- Ensuring HACCP policies & procedures are adhered to by all kitchen staff
- Reporting of shifts to management in the absence of the Executive chef
- Conducting risk inspections and ensuring the relevant health and safety rules and regulations are complied
Experience & Skills Required
- Minimum 2 years work experience as a chef
- Relevant qualification in hospitality
- Strong / well rounded experience within the restaurant/bar/pub industry
- Excellent up-to-date food product knowledge
- Strong all-round skills, grill section & pans section
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lead and supervise a team and ensure they deliver an excellent customer experience
- Ability to work hospitality hours including days, nights, and weekends, public holiday
- Current RSA desirable
