Sous Chef - Premium Steakhouse - CBD We've partnered with a well known, premium Restaurant in the heart of Melbourne's CBD serving a menu of classic American steakhouse and smokehouse dishes. Priding themselves on sourcing the best local produce for their custom-built grill and wood-fired smoker!The RoleAs Sous Chef your role is to assist and support the Head Chef in ensuring the kitchen is operating efficiently and profitably while maintaining the company reputation and culture. Further to the responsibility for the business performance of the restaurant, an Assistant Kitchen Manager is responsible for maintaining a high standard of food, service, health, and safety.Requirements The development and maintenance of a superior level of product standards, to ensure the ultimate level of customer satisfaction (i.e., quality product, customer feedback, guest satisfaction).The effective management of daily kitchen operations as outlined by Company policies and standards (i.e. checklists, cleaning rosters).The positive training, development and management of a team to create a harmonious working environment as outlined by Company policies and standards (i.e. training, staff meetings, briefings, etc.).The effective management of kitchen costs including the maintenance of adequate stock levels and the management of staff labour and food costs.
