About ROMBE located in Brickworks Burwood shopping Centre, boasting a rooftop location enveloped by a serene community garden. Planning to open 2 more venues - Bake Wonder and Glasshouse events space in same area next few weeks. We are now seeking experienced and passionate sous chef to join our dynamic team.

Main Role Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist senior chefs with the day to day operations of the kitchen utilizing your skills & experience
  • Use correct techniques and follow procedures and recipes when preparing and cooking menu items
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that your section and team operates to optimum efficiency
  • Organizing, supporting and coaching the team to Lucas Restaurants’ standards

Experience, Skills & Attributes:

 

  • Demonstrated experience as a Sous Chef in a premium restaurant
  • Knowledge of local and global cuisine trends
  • Exceptional communication and immaculate presentation
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and lead a team
  • Demonstrate positive attitude and genuine interest in the day to day operations
  • Understanding of Food Safety and OH&S standards and compliance
  • Experience in effectively maintaining and managing set ups, changeovers, closedown and handover to standard
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Outstanding time management during preparation and service periods
  • Calm and composed demeanour
  • Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience
