With its official opening now scheduled for September 2024, Lanson Place Parliament Gardens, Melbourne will set new benchmarks in boutique luxury accommodation.
Lanson Place offers a luxurious home-away-from-home experience for short and extended stays at central locations in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Manila. Melbourne will be the first in Australia and flagship for the brand to expand its portfolio to other Australian and New Zealand gateway cities. Responsibilities:
- Be involved in every aspect of the pre-opening phase, including setup, testing, and simulations.
- Contribute to the hiring and training of our exceptional team.
- Work with the Executive Chef & the team on the menu creation & offerings
- Oversee kitchen operations and ensure the highest quality of culinary offerings.
- Manage inventory, food costs and rosters
- Lead and inspire the team, work as a mentor, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to deliver seamless guest experiences
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years Chef experience in a high-end hospitality setting.
- Cert III in Commercial Cookery
- Strong food safety and HACCP knowledge
- A la carte kitchen and bulk catering and function/banquet experience
- Strong culinary skills and creative flair, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities, with a proven track record of effectively managing a team.
- Flexibility to work variable hours, including weekends and holidays.
