Specialised Carer - Respite Cottage

The Opportunity

HammondCare's Gymea Bay Cottage provide short-term accommodation and individualised support for older guests during stays of up to 10 nights. As a Specialised Carer, you'll play a vital role in delivering personalised care and creating a welcoming, home-like environment.

Hourly Rates: $33.78 to $36.50- P/H + penalties + overnight allowance

Responsibilities

As a Casual Specialised Carer at our Respite cottage, you will:

• Provide personal care including grooming and hygiene

• Deliver care in accordance with individual care plans

• Support and care for guests during overnight or extended stays

• Promote guest dignity and independence through daily activities

• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in care professionally

What do you need to apply?

• No formal qualification is necessary, however, Certificate III Individual Support is an advantage

• First Aid certificate desirable

• Empathy and compassion are a must

• We provide job training as long as you have the willingness and desire to learn

• Good administrative and computer skills, including the use of a smartphone

• A strong team player, who can communicate professionally changes in care, complete all documentation, whilst maintaining confidentiality.​

• Must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position
