Epworth HealthCare is offering a casual opportunity for a Grade 1 or 2 Speech Pathologist to join our Acute and/or Rehabilitation teams. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and managing swallowing and communication impairments in adults across a diverse range of specialties. You will work as part of either the Acute or Rehabilitation Speech Pathology teams and report to the Speech Pathology Team Leader/Manager and/or Allied Health Manager.

Available Locations: Weekday work is available across our Acute services at Richmond and Freemasons sites, as well as our inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services based at Richmond, Camberwell, and Hawthorn. You may be required to move between sites as directed by your manager, ensuring flexibility in your role.

You will make an impact by:

• Providing expert care in the assessment and management of swallowing and communication disorders in adult patients.
• Collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.
• Ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care in alignment with Epworth’s core values.
• Demonstrating highly developed interpersonal and written communication skills to support both patients and colleagues.

You will have:

• Eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
• A recognised degree in Speech Pathology.
• Practical experience in assessing and managing adults with communication and swallowing needs in hospital and/or rehabilitation settings.
• Experience in conducting and interpreting swallowing videofluoroscopy studies.
• Flexibility and the ability to prioritise and manage a varied caseload.
• A passion for continuous learning and delivering patient-centred, evidence-based care.
