Are you an experienced Spray Painter who takes pride in delivering high-quality finishes and workmanship?

BTP is seeking a skilled and motivated Spray Painter to join our Hazelmere Workshop on a 6-month maximum term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of mining equipment components and machinery while being part of a team committed to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Working in a busy workshop environment, you will play a key role in preparing, painting and finishing parts and equipment to company and customer specifications, ensuring every job is completed to the highest standard.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of our Hazelmere Workshop team, you will:

• Prepare, paint and finish mining equipment components and machinery


• Apply coatings to company and customer specifications


• Work safely and efficiently to meet project deadlines


• Maintain and care for spray-painting equipment and tools


• Complete quality checks and ensure a high standard of workmanship


• Assist with mentoring and coaching apprentices


• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment


• Complete required documentation and reporting accurately


• Contribute to a positive team culture and safety-first environment

About You

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong attention to detail and enjoys being part of a high-performing workshop team.

To be successful, you will have:

• Previous experience as a Spray Painter in an industrial, mining, heavy equipment or related environment


• Strong commitment to workplace safety


• Forklift Licence (essential)


• Rigging Licence (essential)


• Current Australian Driver's Licence


• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities


• Strong communication and teamwork skills


• High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes

The following will be highly regarded:

• Trade qualification


• Dogging Licence


• Experience working on mining or heavy earthmoving equipment
