SQL Database Administrator (DBA) - Immediate Start

• Parkes, ACT with hybrid working arrangements
• $100-$120 per hour inclusive of superannuation (market estimate)
• Long term contract - 12+6+6 month contract 
• Baseline clearance required

Are you an experienced SQL Database Administrator (DBA) looking for a stimulating opportunity that will make a meaningful impact ?

Resolve Recruit is partnering with a Commonwealth department their search for a talented SQL DBA. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

As the SQL DBA, you'll be responsible for maintaining and sustaining our client's database environment, including on-premises and cloud hosted services. 

In this role, you'll be working on the latest technologies. Here's a glimpse of your main responsibilites:

• Contribute to the timely delivery of essential work packages, providing invaluable support across a spectrum of projects, ensuring seamless execution and achievement of project objectives.
• Craft meticulous and insightful documentation, ranging from comprehensive hand-over materials for Business-As-Usual operations to Standard Operating Procedures, detailed designs, and high-level designs, ensuring clarity, continuity, and efficiency in project lifecycles.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth by offering on-the-job training and facilitating knowledge transfer sessions for staff. 

Desirable skills and experience: 

• Tertiary qualifications in ICT or a related field and/or equivalent experience as a database administrator.
• Experience administering SQL Server, from legacy SQL Server 2012 to all versions of SQL Server in the Azure cloud and experience with on-premise high availability clusters.
• TSQL and powershell scripting experience.
• Experience decommissioning legacy SQL Server 2012 servers and Experience migrating databases between different versions of SQL Server
• Proficient in utilising Commvault backup and restore solutions.
