Northrop Grumman\u2019s Space Sector invites you to bring your pioneering spirit to our collaborative teams.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to support an Operations and Maintenance facility located in Alice Springs, Australia. \n\nThis role requires a two (2) year commitment and the ability to successfully pass a physical and psychological exam. A comprehensive overseas compensation package is offered with this position including relocation assistance.\n\n** Position is contingent on future program funding **\n\nThe successful candidate will provide technical planning and integration support for operational systems. This System Engineer will also serve as an interface to Site and CONUS engineering organizations. The principal duties of the position are:\n\n * Provide engineering support to include; requirements definition/evaluation, planning, coordination, identifying and addressing impacts, generating documentation, and test support.\n\n * Research, prepare and present baseline change proposals to internal and external customers\n\n * Plan, design and support execution of installation and integration activities addressing operational equipment obsolescence and delivery of new systems/capabilities\n\n * Develop and coordinate technical and conceptual trade studies between Site and Factory Operations and Maintenance teams\n\n * Support system engineering functions for the Program including management of project schedules, program risks, opportunities, issues and baseline changes\n\n * Assess program operations and engineering activities to ensure maximum availability, maintainability and overall performance\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications for level 4:\n\n * Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline plus 8 years of relevant engineering experience OR Masters of Science Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline plus 6 years of relevant engineering experience\n\n * Experience with System Engineering foundations and concepts\n\n * Experience with system integration and test activities and processes\n\n * Proven leadership experience on a project and/or team.\n\n * Active in scope SCI Access\n\n * Ability to pass CI Poly examination prior to start date\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * AMP/ATP/Mission 1 experience is highly desired\n\n * Previous Site installation support\n\n * Familiarity with Site Integration Standards\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
