Your new role As an SRE & Cloud SRE Engineer, you will play a key role in uplifting cloud engineering standards and enabling project delivery through robust DevOps practices and cloud platform capabilities.You will act as a subject matter expert across AWS, supporting engineering teams with platform capabilities, pipeline development, and cloud networking, while ensuring alignment to best practices.Key responsibilities include:
Providing SME expertise across AWS cloud platform, including account provisioning, IAM, policy, and networking.
Designing and enabling end-to-end cloud and data platform architectures, including migrations into Databricks.
Supporting project teams by translating high-level architecture into detailed designs and deployable solutions.
Building and enhancing centralized DevOps pipelines, and enabling teams to adopt them effectively.
Developing reusable infrastructure templates (Terraform, Azure DevOps) to standardise deployments.
Driving DevOps principles and cloud engineering best practices across teams.
Supporting cloud networking design across internal and external environments.
Enabling data ingestion (Fivetran), transformation (DBT), and reporting (Power BI) pipelines.
Establishing standards for scalability, security, performance, and cost optimisation.
Collaborating with stakeholders across Security, FinOps, and Engineering to align platform capabilities with business needs.
What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience in AWS cloud engineering (networking, IAM, foundational services).
Strong experience in DevOps & CI/CD pipeline development, ideally with Azure DevOps.
Hands-on expertise with Terraform (IaC) and reusable deployment templates.
Experience supporting project teams with solution design and cloud enablement.
Solid understanding of cloud networking principles and enterprise environments.
Experience working with Databricks, DBT, Fivetran, and Power BI for data platforms.
Ability to define and enforce engineering standards and DevOps practices.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical teams.
