Staff Specialist Radiologist

* To provide specialist radiology services across the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District and to deliver these services in a way that will best meet the clinical needs of the patient and the diagnostic and/or interventional requirements of the referring clinician.

* To actively promote and participate in educational forums and to instruct, supervise and support radiology JMOs and other clinicians to ensure that service provisions are safe, accurate, appropriate and timely.

* To provide consulting services to clinical units and referring colleagues, including attendance at, and active participation in, multidisciplinary team meetings.

* To maintain and further develop the knowledge base, clinical competencies, practical procedure skills, research basics and self-education habits required of a specialist radiologist.

* To participate in the on-call consultant roster.

* To actively participate in quality improvement processes including quality requesting, image quality assessment and feedback, and personal effectiveness and development activities.
