Job Description - Stakeholder Manager

The Company  
GenusPlus Group (ASX:GNP) is a national end-to-end service provider for essential power and telecommunications infrastructure. We provide an integrated service for our clients across energy (network and renewable), telecommunication and resource sectors.
 
Genus Services is an integral part of the GenusPlus Group, providing critical telecommunication infrastructure projects for our clients nationally, across multidisciplined sectors, focusing on turnkey solutions in engineering, installation, commissioning and maintenance services.  

The Role
The Stakeholder Manager’s purpose is to provide management and compliance expertise in securing land tenure in accordance with the Telecommunications Act 1997, ensuring all projects meet client and legislative requirements, with particular emphasis on meeting set criteria with regards to time, cost and quality.
  
Reporting directly to the General Manager/National Manager Operational Governance, the Stakeholder Manager’s daily responsibilities will include:
  • Provide direction and leadership to the stakeholder land access team to ensure open, consistent, and frequent communication and continuous improvement in relation to operational challenges, client expectations, improvements, and issues.
  • Develop and maintain valuable stakeholder management plans.
  • Identify and consult with key external stakeholders and authorities with respect to planning, design, land access & construction.
  • Plan and coordinate town hall engagements with affected stakeholders such as landowners and indigenous groups, including on site attendances to ensure project compliance as required.
  • Act as a point of escalation for any issues or disputes that may arise.
  • Negotiate, consult with and present to a wide range of audiences to achieve project objectives.
  • Consult and guide operational teams to ensure work methods and land access and environmental processes are optimised.
  • Compile completions documentation and carry out client database of record changes as required.
  • Provide technical assistance in negotiating contracts, change orders, and other project documentation as required.
  • Drive continuous improvements and processes for the business.
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
  • Qualifications in Town Planning & Environment or another similar field
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience within the Telecommunication Industry.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Land Access
  • Proven experience successfully managing high performance teams.
  • Demonstrated good safety record and knowledge of Work Health and Safety regulations.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of the Customer Access Network (CAN) assets, work practices and standards.
  • Proven knowledge of the Telecommunications Act 1997.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 and State and Local Regulatory Compliance
  • Strong planning and organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
