Job Description - State KAM (QLD) - Construction & Earthmoving Equipment

The Organisation
A global OEM who provides specialised construction equipment and earthmoving equipment to the civil construction, mining and underground markets. The business is in a phase of strong-growth, and with this comes some exciting and brand-new positions and opportunities. 
This already-occurring expansion has led to the creation of a brand-new ‘QLD Regional Business Development Manager & Dealer Development’ position.
This is not dealing at near-the-top, this is, at-the-top of the heavy equipment market we’re talking about here. If you’re looking for a career-defining position with a global organisation that will match your energy and drive for success, don’t delay your application.

The Position Overview & Objectives
The position has two separate objectives that are closely related and highly connected. You will be involved with high-level channel development matters, major deals and involved with exciting business opportunities.

Regional BDM component (80% of focus)

  • Developing new and existing business opportunities Direct to market across the region. 
  • Finding and developing new, major, Top-Teir business opportunities, within civil construction, mining, underground, Government, Ports and more. 
  • Assisting with tenders and other proposals through to completion.
  • Traveling to sites around the state conducting sales and other meetings.
  • Working tightly with company directives and strategies and towards objectives.

Dealer Development (20% of focus)

  • Working in with local dealers assisting them progress, close and develop future sales opportunities with their customers.
  • When working on major opportunities, collaborating with local dealers and working with them to provide an end-to-end solution and service for major tenders or clients. 

General sales training and assistance to develop dealers own capabilities.

Candidate Requirements

  • Top-level experience within the civil construction, mining, underground, Government or Ports markets.
  • Experience finding & developing opportunities to supply to major construction projects, mining projects and other tender opportunities, ideally at the direct to market level.
  • Key relationships within civil, mining, underground, and similar markets.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, negotiation skills and sales ability and drive.
  • A proven sales history.
  • Long-term relation growth & management skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the state when required.
  • Drivers license, Australian Citizen or permanent resident.

Remuneration Package on Offer

This is the opportunity to join an amazing and dynamic business where you’ll get to work with a motivated team that like to get things done. 
In relation to remuneration, a starting salary of $150,000 per year, plus a target driven bonus structure of $25,000- $45,000, plus a $25,000 vehicle allowance, fuel card, super, laptop phone etc.
