Store Manager

About the Opportunity

We’re looking for a hands-on Store Manager to lead our Clennett’s Mitre 10 Hobart store. You'll be responsible for building a strong team, delivering great customer service and driving store performance.

Leading a close-knit team across retail and trade, you'll coach and develop your people, oversee store operations and inventory, and help grow customer awareness in the local community. This role may suit an experienced Store Manager or a strong retail 2IC ready to take the next step.

The store operates seven days a week, with a flexible 38-hour roster between 7:30am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday, plus occasional weekend coverage.

What You’ll Be Doing

• - Lead, coach and develop a team across retail and trade operations


• - Build a positive culture centred on customer service and accountability


• - Drive sales and identify opportunities to increase local store traffic


• - Manage store performance, including profit and loss, wages and costs


• - Oversee inventory, stock availability and overall store presentation


• - Maintain safe, efficient operations across the store and drive-through trade area

You’re Likely a Match If You Have

• - Retail leadership experience as a Store Manager, Assistant Manager or 2IC


• - Strong people leadership skills and confidence developing a diverse team


• - A genuine passion for customer service and building community relationships


• - Commercial experience across sales, inventory and financial performance


• - Strong communication skills and a practical, hands-on leadership style


• - Experience in hardware, trade or home improvement retail is advantageous
