Store service attendant

Are you a Defence Reservist or someone with an understanding of Navy operations? Do you bring experience in ERP systems, warehouse operations, or customer service? This unique opportunity as a Store Service Attendant, contributes vital support to the Defence Force in beautiful Cairns, where it’s beautiful one day, perfect the next!

This full-time role supports all three Defence services, Navy, Army, and Air Force, under Ventia’s National Clothing Store Services contract. We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented team player with excellent communication skills and a passion for service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, check, and acquit stores under supervision


• Pack stock and prepare for despatch


• Assist customers with kit issues


• Inspect and accept returned items


• Perform manual handling using various methods

What You’ll Bring:

• Defence background or Navy knowledge highly regarded


• Experience in ERP systems, warehouse operations, or customer service


• Valid Driver’s Licence and own transport


• Strong computer proficiency


• High attention to detail, accuracy, and time management


• Ability to work effectively in a team and customer-focused environment

Eligibility:

Applicants must be Australian Citizens and eligible to obtain a Defence Baseline Security Clearance.
