Substation Technician

Role Overview:

The Substation Technician will be responsible for servicing Medium Voltage AIS & GIS Switchgear, Low Voltage Switchgear, Busway systems, and protection & automation systems for clients across Australia and New Zealand. Key responsibilities include:

• Installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical infrastructure
• Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and customer satisfaction standards
• Performing preventative and corrective maintenance, upgrades, and workshop repairs
• Providing technical support and expertise to clients

About You?

• Minimum five years of experience in LV and MV Distribution systems
• Unrestricted Electrical Licence (A grade or equivalent)
• Valid Driver’s Licence and ability to travel for site work
• A passion for customer service

Additional qualifications that would be advantageous:

• Electrical Engineering background or equivalent experience
• Experience in Partial Discharge Testing & protection relay testing
• Knowledge of Sulfur Hexafluoride (SF6) gas handling
