Job Summary

Job Statement

We are seeking an experienced Road Haulage and Ancillary Superintendent to lead and optimise road haulage and ancillary activities across our surface operations in the Leonora/Laverton region. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and cost-effective movement of material to support ore delivery to our processing facilities and achievement of production targets.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee contractor haulage fleets, road construction and maintenance, ROM and stockpile management, crusher feed and associated ancillary activities. You’ll play a pivotal role in coordinating multi-site haulage activities, driving performance, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with WA legislation and industry best practice.

The Opportunity:

• Lead and manage road haulage and ancillary contractors to deliver safe, reliable and efficient operations.

• Coordinate haulage, ROM management, crusher feed and ancillary activities across multiple sites.

• Ensure conformance to weekly and monthly plans, adapting to changing operational conditions.

• Drive continuous improvement, cost control and performance optimisation.

• Manage contractor performance, safety compliance and commercial outcomes.

• Oversee incident reporting, investigations and risk management in line with legislative requirements.

• Partner closely with technical services, mining, processing and maintenance teams to achieve site objectives.

• Extensive experience across surface mining, heavy road haulage and crushing operations.

• Strong leadership capability with a collaborative, safety-focused approach.

• Sound knowledge of WA mining, WHS and road transport legislation.

• Proven ability to manage contractors, budgets and operational performance.

• Confident communicator with the ability to engage across all levels of the business.

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in surface mining and/or heavy haulage environments.

• Minimum five years’ supervisory or superintendent-level experience.

• WA Quarry Manager’s Certificate and formal leadership qualifications desirable.
