So, are you a highly motivated and experienced Belt Splicer looking for career progression with an even better crew? We now have an exciting opportunity for experienced Belt Splicers to join our high-performing Branch leading in the maintenance of some of the biggest Mine Sites in QLD.

 Key responsibilities include:  

• Supervision of a service team, overseeing scheduling of conveyor installations and repairs, belt splicing, plant maintenance, pulley change outs.
• Liaison with Clients and Managers to ensure jobs are planned, scoped and executed to the highest standard
• Assisting with quoting and technical troubleshooting
• Providing proactive safety leadership and quality compliance
• Build, foster and coach the service team to create a high-performance culture

Ideally, we would like someone who has:

• Certificate III in Polymer Processing (Belt Splicing) or equivalent industry experience 
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a leading hand/supervisor within the mining sector or conveyor belt splicing services operation with delivering to high pressured and tight deadlines.
• Experience underground or willingness to go underground
• Strong commitment to safety and quality
• Sound communication skills – both written and verbal – to deal with both high end stakeholders and all levels of the TEAM.
• It would be desirable if you hold Rigging, Scaffolding and Dogging licences.
