The Company

Work for a respected and global manufacturer that is committed to providing reliable solutions and offers a wide array of high-quality products. Having operated for several decades, this business is based in Melbourne's Northern suburbs, and they are seeking a highly experienced Supply Chain Coordinator to join their tight-knit team.


The Position

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, your duties will include:

• Prepare and authorise purchase orders for packaging materials, goods, and services
• Request and assess supplier quotations, negotiating pricing and supply contracts as needed
• Verify goods and services delivery and assist in AP reconciliation, including credit requests
• Liaise with various stakeholders to ensure timely, quality, and cost-effective procurement
• Maintain procurement documentation and records, as well as supplier pricing information
• Generate and edit procedures, work instructions, and purchasing forms as required
• Act as the initial contact point for suppliers, optimising pricing, delivery, quality, and issue resolution
• Provide support to Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Planning personnel, including covering their tasks when necessary
• Fulfill all reasonable instructions and undertake any required work as directed by the company
  
  

The Candidate


The successful applicant will demonstrate supply chain experience in an equivalent role, having worked within the manufacturing and/or distribution industry, as well as the following qualities:

• Qualifications in a related discipline and/or demonstrated supply chain experience
• Demonstrated understanding of purchasing and importation procedures
• Detail-oriented with excellent literacy, numeracy, and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite and ERP operating systems
• Possess the ability to work autonomously under pressure
  
  

This role is operating from 8:00am - 4:00pm or 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
