Support Analyst

Sydney | Contract (with potential for conversion) About the Role
We are looking for a Financial Systems Support Analyst to provide high-quality support and governance across financial systems. This role is ideal for someone with a mix of technical and finance systems knowledge, or someone strong in one area with the willingness to develop the other.
You'll play a key role in ensuring system stability, user support, and continuous improvement while working closely with Finance and IT teams.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Systems Support

• Deliver proactive, high-quality support to Financial Systems users
• Monitor, prioritise, and resolve service requests and system issues
• Provide functional and basic technical support to end users
• Apply strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve issues efficiently
• Use Excel and/or SQL for data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and reporting
• Support finance operations, reporting, and audit activities

System Coordination & Delivery

• Work closely with Finance and IT teams to support system changes
• Act as Release/Test Coordinator for system updates and enhancements
• Quickly learn and adapt to new tools, systems, and processes

System Administration & Governance

• Ensure all system administration tasks and procedures are documented and executed on schedule
• Maintain financial systems under guidance of the Business Systems Analyst - Financials
• Support system stability, accuracy, and continuous improvement

Access & Controls

• Manage and review user access controls across financial systems
• Support audit requirements, governance, and segregation of duties
• Ensure access is appropriate, controlled, and compliant

Key Skills & Experience

• Experience supporting financial systems or business applications
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency in Excel and/or SQL (data analysis, reconciliation, reporting)
• Understanding of finance processes (AP, AR, GL, reporting) or systems
• Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Fast learner with the ability to adapt to new systems and tools

Ideal CandidateWe are open to candidates who:

• Have a technical background with some finance knowledge, OR
• Have strong finance systems/process experience with an interest in the technical side
