About School Infrastructure | Asset Management Division


 


School Infrastructure (SI) is delivering the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW. Our mission is to ensure every school-aged child has access to high-quality education facilities at their local public school. This includes new buildings, major upgrades, and long-term maintenance strategies.


 


 


About the role


 



  • Implement effective workflow practices to support the Asset Delivery Team within the Southern NSW Asset Management Unit (AMU) and Schools Infrastructure

  • Undertake general administrative duties to support the effective functioning and operation of the office

  • Collate, enter and update data, reports and other departmental applications to maintain accuracy and currency of data

  • Conduct accurate, effective records administration ensuring systems are kept up to date and all record movements are correctly tracked

  • Provide back-up support to other roles within the office to ensure business continuity and quality customer services are provided at all times

  • Complete word processing and spreadsheet tasks to support team initiative

About you


 



  • Experience in a customer service environment

  • Great organisational skills and be able to work under pressure and prioritise tasks in a high-volume environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook

  • Experience in Procurement, Project Management and Contract Administration (or a willingness to up-skill in this area)

  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.


 


 


Essential requirements of the role


 



  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence

  • On site presence at the Office in Wagga Wagga

  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

Renewal is not required after the WWCC expires, as long as you remain in a non–child-related role. Employer obligations only apply while the WWCC is valid.
