Support Worker - Join a Market Leader

The successful candidate will need to have flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, public holidays, and overnight shifts.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Certificate III in Home and Community Care, Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability, Mental Health (Working towards or willing to obtain);
• Industry experience in Australia, or personal lived experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable Vehicle
• Comprehensive Car Insurance
• First Aid certificate
• Current Working with Children Check for paid roles (or willing to obtain)
• Current Police check (or willing to obtain).
   

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Where required, assist individuals in undertaking a range of activities of daily living including personal and self-care, eating, and maintenance of personal hygiene, using the principles of active support.
• Support individuals to use their preferred method of communication and assist them to be understood, listened to, and responded to at all times.
• Maintain documentation, daily notes, records, and data collection as required, and in accordance with the relevant legislation and Dash policies.
• Interact and communicate with other team members in the interests of service users and of achieving a consistent approach to service provision.
