We currently are looking for a passionate, innovative and dedicated Support Worker Manager:

Join Our Team as a Support Worker Manager – Permanent Fulltime

About the Role:

As a Support Worker Manager, you will lead a team of support workers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services aligned with client expectations. You'll utilise organisational tools to design, develop, implement, and review individual services within budgetary constraints. Your role is vital in providing strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring to our team, while championing our organizational values to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure daily operational success and effective budget administration.
  • Foster robust stakeholder relationships at a service level.
  • Uphold a client-focused approach, promoting dignity and opportunity.
  • Act as the primary contact and relationship champion with clients and carers.
  • Coordinate and attend multi-disciplinary meetings and reviews.
  • Develop and implement behavioural support plans.
  • Manage rostering, including on-call duties and recruitment.
  • Provide leadership, motivation, and staff development.
  • Support the Operations Manager with investigative processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with legislative requirements.

 

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Understanding of community development principles.
  • Excellent communication and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to empathise and interact with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience supporting individuals with disabilities in community settings.
  • Proficiency in program planning and implementation.
  • Initiative and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to Person-Centered approaches.
  • Leadership, conflict resolution, and Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Familiarity with administrative procedures and contract compliance.
  • Interpersonal skills, prioritisation, and deadline management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Disability, Community, Management, Social, or Human Services.
  • Desirable Diploma/Advanced Diploma/Associate Degree.
  • Additional certifications such as First Aid, NDIS, or Disability Framework understanding are advantageous.

Personal Attributes:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Outgoing personality and willing attitude.
  • Passion for positive client outcomes.
  • Pre-Employment Requirements:
  • Medical assessment.
  • Police clearance/working with children check.
  • NDIS clearance.
