The Advanced Nurse Consultant participates in nursing policy, procedure development and implementation and facilitates the development and implementation of a clinical governance framework for the nursing service. This role initiates and evaluates research related to the provision of nursing care and acts as a consultant on quality improvement. The Advanced Nurse Consultant provides a corporate support service to nursing practice and services in areas such as accreditation and risk management processes and information systems management.Employees classified at this level, provide clinical nursing expertise for specified individual patients/ clients and/or groups and/or patient/ client populations.
