Optiver's Sydney office is one of the primary players within Asian markets, trading a range of products. Established in 1996, we're an active participant on the Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and Japan exchanges, and act as Optiver's APAC head office.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Trading and position taking in equity repo and dividends across multiple markets on both an index and single stock level
Identify new opportunities and areas for growth, and explore these to help grow the business
Collaborate with different parts of the business to influence trading decisions and projects across the firm
Externally represent Optiver, working with brokers and direct counterparties to provide liquidity
WHO YOU ARE:
Have 3+ years experience trading index rolls, dividends, and/or equity repo
A track record of profitably pricing and trading rolls is essential
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to be clear, assertive and understanding when talking to external parties.
Have an understanding of the market landscape and industry dynamics, as well as being on top of new developments and flows
Demonstrate a mature thought process with capacity to challenge the future direction of the business
A deep knowledge of APAC dividends would be an advantage
Leadership experience is a significant advantage but not essential
