Systems Engineer

The Company

This is an opportunity to join a large international retail organisation who operate as a lean IT team. Located in either Hawthorn or Derrimut (you will only be required at one location), this company combines industry-leading business with ever-evolving technology.

The Role

In this role you will wear multiple hats focusing on infrastructure, networks and cloud technologies.

You will be responsible for maintaining the infrastructure platform as well as managing all of the infrastructure services and associated vendors covering Telecommunications, Unified Comms,

Networks (LAN/WAN/SD-WAN, VPN), Servers, Storage, desktops and core business applications.

You will also assist with multiple projects to help upgrade the infrastructure, be an escalation point for the Service Desk for Level 2 and 3 infrastructure and applications support.

Your Skills & Experience

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as an IT Engineer in a predominately Microsoft environment.
• Strong knowledge and experience with on prem and cloud solutions (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS) including Azure and AWS.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Virtualisation, Backup strategies, Disaster Recovery, IT Security (including EDR)
• Network Management (Firewalls, WAP's, Routers, Switches).
• Hands-on experience with Retail stores systema and integrations.
• Experience with Mobile Device Management tools.
• Experience with performance monitoring and reporting tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and an ability to work with cross-functional teams of varying levels.
• Proactive and can-do attitude
