Lawson Elliott Recruitment is excited be working with a well-established business who are constantly expanding and are leading the way in their specialised industry. The team is looking to expand and welcome in 2x Tax Accountants to hit the ground running and join their Brisbane team to support the business.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will have broad range of responsibilities including:

• Analyse, report and provide advice on taxation issues 
• Prepare taxation returns and reports
• Handle disputes with taxation authorities
• Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Tax compliance 
• Financial reporting
• Identifying areas to reduce tax exposure
• Tax liabilities 
• Business activity statements 
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
• Ad-hoc duties as required

To be considered for this role:

• 3+ years proven work experience as an Tax Accountant 
• Proven working experience in Accounting Firms 
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting & Finance 
• CA/CPA qualified 
• Proven work experience with QBBC (Queensland Building and Construction Commission) 
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with accounting software Xero 
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure
• Strong interpersonal, analytical and numeracy skills
• Demonstrate initiative and take responsibility 
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
