Tax Accountant - Unlimited Growth Potential

We are looking for a highly motivated and reliable tax accountant to join the team at our office in The Gap.

Your duties and responsibilities

• Preparation of Tax Returns, Financial Statements, and Activity Statements for all types of entities including companies, partnerships, trusts and individuals.
• Offering advice to clients on computer-based accounting systems and ways to improve efficiencies in their business, including associated record keeping requirements.
• Examining operating costs and organisations' income and expenditure.
• Identifying opportunities to add value to clients by understanding their needs and co-ordinating additional services.
• Assisting senior accountants on projects providing financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations.
• Providing a high level of service to our diversified client base, including responding to queries via email and phone, as well as attending meetings both face-to-face and online.

Required experience and qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Accounting
• Qualified CA or CPA
• Minimum 5 years Australian experience in business services and/or tax division
• Efficient and effective time management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Certification and experience using Xero, QuickBooks and MYOB
• Experience using Xero Practice Manager and Xero Tax
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Teams, Planner etc.)
