Batemans Bay High School has a student population of approximately 700 students located on the south coast. The school has links to the local Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG) and an Aboriginal Learning Centre to support the 130 Aboriginal students. Batemans Bay High School has 8 support classes that include two ED classes, four MC classes and IO and IS class catering to the diverse needs of our students. We are a well-resourced school in a supportive environment where students benefit from a focus on wellbeing. The building of positive relationships has enhanced educational opportunities and allows students at Batemans Bay High School to achieve educational outcomes.

Specific Selection Criteria

Approval to teach English 7-10, 11-12, English extensions 1 & 2 and approval and/or willingness to teach History 7-10.

Demonstrated capacity to write and implement high quality, engaging programs and assessments which comply with NESA requirements.

Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, deliver and evaluate differentiated lessons to cater for all students.

The ability to work as a contributing member of the faculty team to collaboratively develop teaching programs and resources. Which aim to improve student outcomes and performance across all stages.

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
