Position Details

Come and join us at Warlawurru Catholic School! We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and student focused Primary School Teacher who is ready to embrace the unique experience of living, learning, and contributing to the active Catholic school community of Red Hill.
This full-time position, commencing Semester 2, 2024 is for a composite Year 3/4 class, with the possibility of extending into the 2025 school year. Warlawurru Catholic School is a small vibrant school with approximately 40 students. We place a major emphasis on creating a caring and supportive environment and encourage students in becoming independent, inquisitive, lifelong learners through two-way learning. Red Hill is situated in the heart of the Kimberley in Western Australia, 2.5kms from Halls Creek, and sits on the northern edge of the Great Sandy Desert. It is a gateway to natural attractions including the World Heritage listed Bungle Bungle ranges of Purnululu National Park, Palm Springs Nature Reserve and Wolfe Creek Crater.
Halls Creek is well serviced with an IGA Supermarket, hospital, pharmacy, hotel, motels, swimming pool, petrol station, post office and sporting facilities. We are approximately a 6 hour drive from Broome and a 3 hour drive from Kununurra. We are offering enticing incentives, as part of CEWA’s package. These include:• $5,500 financial incentive at the completion of 6 month contract ($11,000 annually)• Flights on appointment/conclusion of contract• Electricity reimbursement• Fortnightly location allowance• Furnished, rent free air-conditioned housing.
