About the role


 


Team Leader - Occupational Therapy & Social Work
Temporary Part Time - Maternity Leave replacement until 24/10/2027
16 hours per week


 


An exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role and develop your skills, surrounded by a supportive multidisciplinary team or for an experienced leader to make your mark.


This role is responsible for the professional and effective operational leadership of an interdisciplinary team including Occupational Therapy, Social / Welfare Work Services and Allied Health Assistants. This position will provide and coordinate clinical guidance to staff; ensuring best practice service provision within the scope of Colac Area Health Services.


 


 


What's required:


 


 


Essential:


 


 



  • Bachelor Degree or Masters in Allied Health with relevant registration.

  • Eligibility for practising membership with Occupational Therapy Australia or Australian Association of Social Workers or applicable professional body.

  • Experience as a Grade 2/3 clinician with demonstrated clinical expertise, specialist knowledge and experience with a range of clinical presentations across a range of settings.

  • Experience in providing supervision and performance improvement support to staff.

  • Experience managing and supporting teams and developing a positive team culture.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Current Drivers Licence, Working with Children Check and Police Check

  • IT competency.


 


 


Desirable:


 



  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing staff, program delivery and outcomes.

  • Developed skills in research and established skills in the review of literature.

  • The ability to manage multiple funding sources and allocation of resources to meet funded clinical activity and funder obligations.

  • Demonstrated ability to implement changes in service delivery models, with an adeptness to flexible and adaptable solution finding.
