Technical Ad Solutions Engineer

In the Technical Ad Solutions team, we busy ourselves primarily with making sure our ads run smoothly and identifying and solving problems of all sorts and shapes. This can vary, for example, from catching human error in campaign setups to solving discrepancies and from improving header bidding integrations to optimize publisher revenue, to finding bugs in our ad serving logic. As an Ad Solutions Engineer, you will be part of an enthusiastic and highly skilled team and serve as one of the go-to ad tech experts for our colleagues in the EMEA and occasionally supporting other regions.

Note: This position offers the opportunity for remote work or 'work from home' as there isn't a nearby office. What You'll Achieve

• Generate campaign tags and validate internal and third-party tracking.
• Improve hosting, QA processes, ad serving setup, and reporting tools.
• Manage technical account integration for publishers using header bidding and JavaScript tags.
• Troubleshoot demand and supply side issues, including script implementations, fill rates, and campaign performance.
• Resolve ad serving, ad decisioning, and data issues.
• Analyze data for problem-solving and opportunity identification using reporting UI and SQL.
• Collaborate closely with AM, PubDev, Strategy, Design, Product, and Engineering teams.
• Educate clients and internal teams on technical concepts.

Skills You'll Bring

• Experience in digital advertising, ideally in supply-side ad operations or programmatic.
• Understanding of the ad tech industry and ad serving ecosystem.
• Knowledge of ad servers/SSPs like GAM, Xandr, OpenX, Adform.
• Familiarity with header bidding (Prebid.js, Index, Amazon TAM) and DSPs (DCM, DV360, TTD, Sizmek).
• Basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills; advanced JavaScript/SQL is a plus.
• Proficient in English; other languages are a plus.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Detail-oriented, solution-focused, resourceful, and independent.
