If that sounds like you, we’d love to meet you. We’re growing in the Oceania region and are looking for a Technical Business Development team member who is eager to learn, contribute and grow. In this role, you will apply your technical expertise to shape client solutions, build trusted relationships and expand Okane’s presence in Australia and New Zealand. This role is open to our Brisbane or Perth offices.

Responsibilities:
Market Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with Okane’s strategic objectives in Australia and New Zealand. Engage with industry events and associations to anticipate emerging market needs and contribute to regional growth plans.
Client Relationship Management
Build and sustain long-term, trust-based relationships with key clients by understanding their operational and technical challenges, providing ongoing value, and facilitating feedback loops. Act as a technically credible point of contact and help translate client needs into feasible, aligned solutions. As the voice of the client, you ensure their priorities are reflected in service delivery.
Proposal Development and Support
Contribute to compelling Expressions of Interest (EOIs) and the development of client-specific Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) and proposals , ensuring submissions align with client requirements and Okane’s commercial risk tolerance.
Contract Negotiation and Agreement Support
Lead early-stage commercial discussions with clients, supported by experienced team members in contracts and operations, ensuring that contractual terms align with both client needs and internal risk management standards. Collaborate with contract management and operations teams to finalize agreements that support long-term partnerships.
Regional Strategic Partnerships
Forge collaborative relationships with key stakeholders such as government agencies, industry leaders, consultants, and research and academic institutions. Identify and formalize collaboration agreements that create long-term value for both parties.
Marketing and Community Presence
Localize and activate global or regional marketing initiatives in Australia and New Zealand. Coordinate Okane’s presence at conferences and support community engagement efforts. Work closely with the marketing team to maintain messaging alignment.
