The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Document Writer with a strong background in Technical writing ideally within the heavy industry or mining sector to join the Xenco team on a contract basis. The position is being offered on FIFO basis with a flexible roster. The primary function of the role is to review and overhaul the current SOP’s across both the mechanical and electrical divisions and implement these across the business.

About the role:

• Liaise and work effectively with departments and stakeholders to understand immediate SOP’s required and develop and write technical documentation.
• Digest technical information and transform that into content suitable for delivery to a wide range of audiences and learning capabilities, whilst maintaining the required technical competency to be delivered.
• Develop and maintain the technical documentation process to ensure maximum efficiency.

 

To be successful the following is required:

• A strong understanding of safety operations and procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Posses a high level of attention to detail
• Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
• Experience working in a similar role ideally within the mining / oil & gas sector
• Previous experience working with either or both fixed term or mobile mining equipment
