Job Description - Technical Sales Executive

Looking for a highly motivated, technical Sales specialist to look after existing business for a pioneer in the production of gas welding and cutting apparatus. An individual who is passionate about delivering superior service to existing customers while building new business by rowing share of wallet from the current portfolio

Description

Reporting directly to the Group General Manager, you will work as part of a high-achieving national team. This role is a split between farming existing accounts and continuing to build business by growing share of wallet of the portfolio

  • Service a current customer base of dealerships providing laser focus service
  • Proactively drive sales by engaging with current customers to increase the product portfolio range
  • Provide dealership training sessions (during work hours) to keep product knowledge up-to-date and relevant
  • Communicate all necessary communication to customers regarding stock arrivals, stock levels, new products, etc
  • Keep on top of all business administration related to the role
  • Provide high-level customer technical support
  • Assist key customers with building solutions for highly specialised use cases
  • Assist with shows and demos when required
  • Continuous internal feedback to resolve product issues/innovation
  • Profile

    Being an autonomous self-starter is imperative to this role being successful. The preferred candidate will look like:

  • 3-5+ years industry experience (gas distribution and manufacture) or related experience in a trade where gas is a core component - (welding or plumbing)
  • A natural ability to build reputable customer relationships
  • Ability to pick up technical information quickly and relay this to customers
  • Maintain impeccable communication both internally and externally
  • Works collaboratively with the wider team with ongoing communication
  • Solutions driven with a can-do approach to any situation
  • Organisational aptitude, time management skills, and ability to multitask
  • Ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment
  • MS Office proficiency as well as the ability to retrieve and analyse data through software packages and an online e-commerce platform
