Location: Perth

This is a hybrid opportunity where you will work 2 days in our Perth office – one of Perth’s best and most sustainable A Grade buildings with brand new end of trip facilities and 3 days a week from home or on a client site when required or in agreement with your manager.

About the role

Leadership: The manager for this role is Vlastimil Sopuch. Based in Perth, Vlastimil leads part of the Cloud Platform practice in our Western Region. A dedicated Microsoft technologist throughout his career, Vlastimil guides and supports team members in developing their skills and achieving their potential, often through personalised feedback, encouragement, and by fostering a growth-oriented environment. His approach emphasises learning and development as key to long-term success.  

As a Technical Specialist, you are a customer focused specialist in the Modern Work and Security domain and viewed as a trusted set of hands by clients. You will act as the lead for technical streams within projects, and oversee a number of technical streams on larger engagements. Our Technical Specialists are also responsible for contributing to the development of Intellectual Property (IP) in their domains of expertise.

• Participate and lead design workshops to capture design decisions based on customer requirements
• Produce high quality design, as-built and handover documentation
• Deliver solutions against pre-agreed specifications and designs
• Work autonomously to deliver projects to our customers
• Contribute to solution knowledge and share this knowledge both locally and Asia Pacific wide
• Develop and maintain profile as a specialist in your domain of expertise

We are looking for a Technical Specialist with the following capabilities:

• Experienced with Purview: Azure Information Protection, Office 365 and Endpoint Data Loss Prevention, Cloud App Security
• Experienced in Security: Microsoft Defender AV, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Defender for Identity, Microsoft Defender for O365 highly regarded.
• Experienced with Identity and Access Management in Entra, Entra Domain Services, Entra Connect, SAML, OpenID Connect/OAuth, Azure AD App Proxy, SCIM
• Experienced with Microsoft traditional technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and PKI
• Experienced with M365 migration and consolidation projects; EOL, SPO, OneDrive, Teams, Teams chats; experience with Power BI and Power App migrations will be highly regarded
• Experienced with migration toolsets from vendors such as AvePoint, Quest, and BitTitan
• Experienced with Microsoft Enterprise Mobility and Security for Microsoft Windows; Intune, Configuration Manager, Co-Management, Hybrid-join, Autopilot, Conditional Access baseline security policies
• Experienced with query and scripting such as PowerShell and Kusto
• Relevant Associate MS Certifications in M365, Identity & Security, Azure; Expert Level will be highly regarded
• Substantial experience in technical roles within a Services environment
• Knowledge and understanding of foundational security and networking principals
• Demonstrated project delivery, autonomy and time management skills
• Comfortable with presenting and communicating technical solutions
• Excellent communication & stakeholder engagement skills
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong client relationships
• Excellent written (documentation) and verbal communication skills
