Technician and assembler

IG3 Education is a leading Education Solutions Provider that supplies AV and IT based solutions to education institutions across Australia.

We require a skilled and motivated Technician and Assembler with good electronics and technical skills for our Queensland office.

Essential skills and qualifications:

• Understanding of basic electronics
• Proficient in electronic component replacing 
• Ability to repair or at least diagnose electronic components would be beneficial
• Good knowledge of IT hardware, setup and troubleshooting
• Installation and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows software
• Good communications and customer facing skills
• Common sense and the ability to take decisions and follow instructions
• Adhere to safe work practices
• Hands on approach
• Attention to detail
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Physically fit and injury free
• Hard working, fast and efficient and not be a clock watcher

Will be responsible for:

• In-house setup and configuration of products
  • Setup and configuration of PC Modules 
  • Install and configure Microsoft Windows operating systems 
  • Installation and configuration of various software packages
  • Assembly of various stands and trolleys
  • Setup of wireless networks and wireless AV products
• Repair to LED touch screens, PC Modules and automated trolleys
• Manage spare parts stock for LED panels
• Manage small parts store and order stock as needed
• Collection of components and stock items
• Relevant administration regarding repairs and stock preparation
• Assist with on-site installations as needed
• Ensure all work is completed to customer satisfaction and within predetermined timeframes

Note:

The position may require the following as needed from time to time.

• Interstate travel with nights away from home
• After hours’ work
• Lifting and moving of heavy items.
