Description

As a Technology Capability & Workforce Lead, you’ll play a key role in shaping how Technology plans, builds and optimises the capability needed to deliver ART’s strategic priorities. This is a senior, enterprise-facing role that connects Technology strategy with workforce planning, capability uplift, sourcing decisions and financial outcomes. You’ll develop clear workforce insights, translate current and future demand into actionable plans, and partner with leaders across Technology, Finance, Procurement, Strategy and People teams to support a future-ready, sustainable and high-performing Technology workforce. 

This role is a permanent opportunity and is based in Brisbane.



Responsibilities
  • Shape and evolve Technology capability frameworks, maturity models, role families and career pathways. 
  • Translate Technology strategy and delivery priorities into workforce insights, assumptions and actionable plans. 
  • Develop workforce supply and demand models to support capacity, capability, sourcing and cost decisions. 
  • Identify current and future capability gaps, workforce risks and optimisation opportunities. 
  • Partner with Technology, Finance, Procurement, Strategy and People teams to align workforce planning with business, financial and delivery outcomes. 
  • Support sourcing strategies across internal, external, partner and vendor workforce models. 
  • Drive capability uplift and workforce readiness initiatives that support transformation and new ways of working. 
  • Provide clear reporting, governance artefacts and recommendations to inform senior decision-making.


Qualifications

You’ll be a strong communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and bring a structured, insight-led approach to solving complex workforce and capability challenges. It’s likely you’ll also tick some of the following boxes:
 

  • Significant experience in strategic workforce planning, capability modelling or organisational design within Technology environments.
  • Proven ability to translate business and technology strategy into workforce plans, sourcing strategies and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of technology roles, skills frameworks such as SFIA, job architecture and emerging workforce trends.
  • Experience with workforce supply and demand modelling, scenario planning and financial alignment.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate effectively in executive-level environments.
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to turn complex workforce data into clear insights, recommendations and actions.
  • Experience working across Technology, Finance, Procurement and People functions to deliver shared outcomes.
  • Experience in financial services, superannuation or another large, regulated environment would be highly regarded.
