Tendering Engineer - Rapid Progression

If you share our determination to drive the transition to a low-carbon future, then this could be the job for you.  We are currently seeking a Tendering Engineer, reporting directly to the Tendering Manager, in our Tendering team based in Perth, Australia. The ideal candidate will have a few years  of experience within engineering, construction or a commercial role, preferably within the Oil & Gas Industry.

About the Job

As Tendering Engineer, your role will be to coordinate the tendering process including compilation of documents, clarification requests and responses, in accordance with tendering procedures. You will be required to assist in the ongoing improvement of tendering systems and processes, provide secretarial and administrative support to the Tendering Manager / Proposal Manager including supporting EOI’s. 

Your responsibilities include;

• Preparing proposals and presentations in collaboration with Tendering Manager / Proposal Manager
• Following Bid Preparation and Authorisation Procedure
• Ongoing review of the tendering process and develop improvement plans, ensure prospects reviewed regularly with look ahead based on Tender brick wall
• Coordinate with tendering team members to agree level and type of tender response required 
• Development of initial draft of tender response document including use of standard templates where appropriate
• Understanding contractual requirements and coordinating with respective department to review and respond to them 
• Editing and quality check of the compiled tender documents
• Monitoring tender responses and ensure adherence to tight time constraints
• Maintain and update standard tendering literature
• Coordination of tender kick off and review and approval meetings and update tender checklist (shred)
• Maintain proposal databases - proposal databases are kept up to date with all proposals submissions as well as ETF, ATT and ATC and prequalification documents
• Preparation of final version of tender response document. Tender documents are of consistent and of high standard 
• Preparation of Tender budget Reports for Tendering Manager

About You

We’d love to hear from you if your profile meets the following requirements.

• Experience within an engineering, construction or a commercial role
• Previous Oil & Gas experience preferably in onshore / offshore projects
• Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality
• Tendering experience is highly valued, but not mandatory as on the job training will be provided
• Appreciation of tendering due diligence
• Intermediate / Advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Adobe and PowerPoint) 
• Highly developed technical writing skills and experience in editing and proof-reading large documents
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure
