Job Description - Test Analyst

Description

We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As a Test Analyst, you'll analyse, prepare, and execute testing activities that support successful technology releases and system enhancements. You'll work closely with project teams, technical specialists, and business stakeholders to define test conditions, execute test cases, identify defects, and report outcomes that support quality delivery. You'll also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help maintain testing standards, documentation, and quality practices across the business.
You'll join a collaborative team where curiosity, attention to detail, and problem-solving are valued. Whether you're supporting manual or automated testing activities, you'll have opportunities to broaden your technical capability while contributing to meaningful outcomes for our members.

This role is permanent and based in Brisbane.

Responsibilities
  • Review requirements and specifications and define appropriate test conditions.
  • Design and execute test cases and test scripts aligned to agreed criteria.
  • Record, analyse, and report testing activities, outcomes, defects, and risks.
  • Support quality management practices, standards, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify improvements and implement corrective actions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, innovation, and delivery excellence across Technology and Delivery.

Qualifications

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

  • You have experience planning, designing, and executing functional and non-functional test plans and test cases.
  • Your background includes experience across multiple testing disciplines such as system testing, integration, regression, performance, accessibility, or user acceptance testing.
  • You'll be confident using manual testing tools to deliver effective testing outcomes.
  • You're skilled at building relationships and communicating effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
  • You have strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills with an ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Your experience may include Agile delivery environments, test effort estimation, and risk management practices.
  • You'll bring a relevant tertiary or industry qualification such as ISTQB or ITIL, or equivalent experience.
  • You're able to quickly learn complex business systems and maintain a strong attention to detail.
